Why is this guy writing about the movies?
Why not?
I love films. I’ve been part of a weekly online Criterion Channel film group for over a year. It’s a group of wonderful folks, from their 20s up, who also love films. As part of the club, I’ve had to think about the films we’ve watched, so why not write down those impressions each week?
That’s what I will be posting here.
These won’t be reviews, per se, but more my thoughts on each movie.

Well, let me expand on that.
You can read about my life-long interest in film on the Credits page. As I mention, for over 10 years, I, or in collaboration with my late friend Charles, reviewed movies for a couple of newspapers. I will be posting some of those reviews here, too.
They will have a line at the top noting Re-Released Review, and a line indicating the date it appeared in print. The Re-Released Reviews will have some slight editing, mostly to correct errors and misspellings.
Look for a Commentary Track at the bottom of the Re-Released Review. That’s where I may offer a bit of contemporary comments about the movie or the review.

I don’t just watch movies. I’ve been a fan of the pulp magazines, have run a website that focuses on them, ThePulp.Net, for over 25 years, and edit an annual convention magazine, The Pulpster, that focuses on them.
Then there is work.
